Why I Won't Quote a Formwork Job Unless I've Read the PDF First

I'll say it straight: formwork selection isn't a vibe

If you're choosing a concrete forming system based on a glossy brochure or a reassuring phone call from a sales rep, you're guessing. And in my world, guessing costs money. I've made that mistake. Look, I get it. Nobody likes reading manuals. It's like learning how to remove a stripped screw before you actually strip one—you'd rather fix it when it happens. But with formwork, the mistake is buried in a concrete wall. There's no quick trick to undo a blowout. You're not dealing with a screw; you're dealing with a whole wall.

What I tell customers now
